Obituary of Captolia 'Cappy' Conpropst

Captolia "Cappy" Conpropst Sidney, NY Captolia "Cappy" Conpropst went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2013. She was born on July 31, 1921, daughter of the late Charles and Elfrida (Everett) Kiefer in Nineveh, NY. She was married to Charles Conpropst on June 26, 1948 in Coventry, NY. He predeceased her on August 5, 1972. Cappy had been living at Chestnut Park Nursing Home for the past 2 years. Some of the activities she enjoyed were the exercise and cooking class. She also was a representative for the residents at the nursing home and attended monthly meetings. Prior to Chestnut Park, Cappy lived at the Sidney Senior Village. She resided there for over 20 years and was one of the apartments' first residents. Cappy was a founding and long time member of the Sidney Assembly of God church. Her church family remembers her as a prayer warrior and very gifted in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Her family and friends will remember her faith and how she shared her love for the Lord with all those she came into contact with. Cappy is survived by: Her son, David Preston Daughter, Marie Moore and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Grandson, Tim Conpropst, Jr. Great-Grandson, Tim Conpropst, III Numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Cappy was predeceased by her son, Tim Conpropst; two brothers, Philip and Clarence Kiefer, and a sister, Lila Smith. Friends are invited to call from 10:00am to 12noon on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 12:00noon in the funeral chapel with Rev. Randy Eliason officiating. Burial will be private in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Sidney Assembly of God, Plankenhorn Road, Sidney, NY 13838. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
