Keith A. Wrigley, Sr. Sidney, NY Keith A. Wrigley Sr., 89, a longtime Sidney resident who recently moved to Fayetteville, N.Y., died Tuesday, July 14, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse with his family by his side. He worked for 42 years for the Bendix Corp. in Sidney, retiring as a production control manager. He was a longtime village trustee. He was named Citizen of the Years and chaired the Sidney Industrial Development Agency for several years. He was active in the Sidney United Methodist Church as head of the church trustees and held many other positions. He was a volunteer fireman with the McDonald Hose Co. as well as a member of the Sidney Golf & Country Club. He was born June 12, 1920 in Factoryville, Pa., the son of Floyd and Jessie Wrigley. He was a graduate of Factoryville High School and attended Keystone Academy. He married Marjorie Corby on Sept. 13, 1941 in Courtdale, Pa. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in Army Intelligence in Germany. Following his service, they moved to Sidney where they lived for more than 60 years. He is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 67 years; three children, Dr. Keith A. Wrigley Jr. (Mary) of Portland, Ore., Kenneth D. Wrigley (Jean) of Pine City, N.Y. and Dr. Brenda J. Wrigley (Cathy Pontante) of Manlius; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchilden. At Keith's request, a private family service will be held Friday in Sidney at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. Friends are invited to greet the family at 1:00pm on Friday, June 17, 2009 at the United Methodist Church, Liberty Street Sidney. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Keith's name to the Sidney United Methodist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
