Gene Conklin, 80, of Afton, passed away on December 13, 2013 at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.
He was born March 25, 1933, son of the late John and Goldie (Terwilliger) Conklin in Woodbourne, NY.
Gene married Helen Smith on December 5, 1970; she predeceased him on June 14, 2004.
Gene was a self employed farmer and was an honorary member of the Afton Fire Police.
He is survived by Son, Gene Conklin, Afton
Son and daughter-in-law - Carl and Heidi Conklin, Mt. Upton
Daughter - Cynda-Jean Shepherd, Little Falls, NY
4 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews
Friends may call from 11am-1pm on Tuesday, December 17th at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Eastside Cemetery in Afton. Condolences and memories maybe shared online at www.landersfh.com.
