Obituary of Carolyn L. Hope

Carolyn L. Hope Norwich, NY Carolyn L. Hope, 91, of Norwich, formerly of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Carolyn was born on February 27, 1922, daughter of the late Forrest and Beatrice (Champaign) Emmick in Wellsboro, PA. She worked for Amphenol Corp. in Sidney as an inspector for many years before her retirement. Carolyn lived in Sidney for over 30 years. She was a dedicated, longtime member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter #502 in Sidney. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, and made many dresses for the Sidney Bicentennial in 1972. She also liked playing Bingo. Carolyn is survived by: 3 Children: Ellen Carol and David Titus of Vestal Leslie and Kim Hope of Salt Lake City, Utah Patti Hughes and her companion, Richard Earl, of Norwich 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren Sister, Geraldine Cady of Susquehanna, PA As well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her daughter, Diana Hope; sister, Jessie Bell Miller and brother, Franklin Emmick. Friends are invited to call from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. A Women of the Moose Service will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral chapel.
