Obituary of Mary Frances DiLello

Frances DiLello Afton, NY On February 25, 2014 Frances DiLello, 94, born January 14, 1920, departed to join predeceased family and friends in heaven. Frances was the daughter of Michael Caracciolo and Agnes Imperiale. On September 1, 1941, she married Harold DiLello. She worked a short time for Scintilla in Sidney and from there devoted her life to raising her 3 daughters. She was an accomplished cook, baker and homemaker. Frances will be remembered for having a very soft heart and deeply loving her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family unconditionally. Surviving are: her three daughters and spouses: Cecelia and Donald Gifford of Bainbridge, Agnes and Stephan Edatie of Norwich, and Cynthia and Kevin Davis from Afton; Grandchildren: Donna Snyder and her fiancé, Tharon, Ginger Fox and her husband, Ken, Cheri Langstaff and her husband Wayne, Alicia Butch and her husband, Chris, Andrew Bosket and friend Rachel, Kevin Davis, Jeb and Jana Davis, Angela Benedict, Paul Benedict Jr., and Stephanie Edatie; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister Theresa Capalupo of NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her young daughter Michele, husband, Harold DiLello and granddaughter, Lisa Francine Benedict. Friends may call from 11:00am to 12:00noon on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will follow at 12:00noon at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the spring in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
