Obituary of William Edgar Ward

William E. Ward, Jr. Bainbridge, NY William E. Ward, Jr. 77 of Bainbridge passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was born May 24, 1937, son of William and Owena (Chase) Ward in Bainbridge. Bill graduated from Cortland High School with the Class of 1955. He married Antoinette "Marti" Earle on October 26, 1956 in Masonville. He was employed as an industrial engineer for the Amphenol Corp. in Sidney, retiring in February of 1996. Bill was a long time member of the Sidney Elks Lodge #2175 and loved to play music. He played rhythm guitar and called square dances with his family band, the Country Playmates. They played all over the New York State area for 16 years. Bill is survived by his Loving wife, Antoinette "Marti" Ward, Bainbridge, NY Mother, Owena Maynard, Cortland Step-mother, Erma Ward, Unadilla Sons, R. Jeffery Ward, Lancaster, NY, Gregory Ward, Laurens Daughter, Louann Roberts, Endicott 4 Grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Courtney and Jeremy 3 Great grandchildren and nieces and nephews Bill was also predeceased by his father, William Ward, Step-father, Everett Maynard, Grandson, Brandon A. Ward and Brother, Ronald Ward.
