Obituary of Ronald E. Cutting

Ronald E. Cutting, Sidney, NY Ronald E. Cutting 70 of Sidney passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Boston Medical Center after a long battle with Systemic Scleroderma. He was born October 23, 1944, son of the late Howard and Marie (Knapp) Cutting in Sidney. Ron graduated from Sidney Central School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served from 1965 to 1969 and was honorably discharged. Ron completed the tool apprenticeship at Bendix in Sidney and worked as tool maker for over 30 years before retiring. Ron loved being outdoors, deer hunting and working the farm. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and always puts others needs before his own. He is survived by: Son – Ronald E. Cutting II, Deposit and his children Katera Cutting, CO, Riley Cutting, Deposit, Dashon Boyles, Johnstown, NY Daughter – Teresa Swisher, Charlotte, NC and her children Shane and Alayna Swisher, Charlotte, NC Brother – Samuel Cutting and his wife Linda, Masonville Sister – Marilyn Riesen and husband Richard, Binghamton Nephews and Nieces – Charles and Dorothy Cutting and family, Masonville Toni and Tom Sklenka and family, Worcester, Brian and Judy Riesen and family, Sommerville, SC, and Tina Riesen. Fiancee, Linda Stenson, Masonville He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Knapp. Friends may call Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6-9 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapel with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Hambletville Cemetery.
