Obituary of Leona Carmody

Leona Carmody, Sidney Leona Carmody passed away July 19, 2015 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her husband Vince and Son, Leo. She is survived by her Son, James Carmody and his wife Deb. Also surviving are her grandchildren Daniel Costello and Shirley, Donna Hansen and Bernt, Kathy Oswald and Darren, Michael Costello and Heather, Rebecca and Jimmy. Her Great Grandchildren, Michael, Devon, Brigitte, Bernt, Stefanie, Melissa, Cameron, Jacob and Natalie. Also her great, great grandchildren Brokton, Brooklyn and Beckett and several nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Florida and North Carolina. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her wonderful "families" at Suzi's and Trackside Diner. All of you took good care of her for many years. Your care, compassion and concern will never be forgotten. She loved you all. A special thank you Sherry Redmond who went above and beyond for Gram. For many years you gave her such great care, she loved you dearly. At Leona's request there will be a memorial mass on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church on Liberty St in Sidney. All other services will be private. Leona would have turned 99 in October was driving and living independently up to four days before her death, She won the game of life!!! Arrangements are under the direction of C.H.
