Obituary of Robert J. Greene

Robert J. Greene Bainbridge, NY Robert J. Greene, 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Chenango Memorial Nursing Home in Norwich. Bob was born on July 27, 1934, son of the late James H. and Louise (Van Tassell) Greene in Sidney. He graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1953 and went on to make his career in the test lab at Amphenol Corp. On June 2, 1962, he was married to Janet Voltz in Masonville, NY, sharing 53 years together. Bob was a charter member of the Rockdale Rod & Gun Club and a longtime member of the Sidney Elks Lodge 2175. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Bob is survived by: his wife, Janet Greene of Bainbridge; three sons: Robert and Myong Greene of Alabama; George and Lynn Greene of Southern CA and James Greene of Unadilla; two grandsons, Nicholas and Robert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Norma Osterwald.
